Pragmatic Play has launched Gates of Olympus 2500, a high-volatility sequel to its Zeus-themed online slot, with a maximum payout of 25,000 times the stake and multiplier symbols worth up to 2,500x. The game went live in Rest of World and Asia markets on Sept. 28, while Racing Post said it would be available to UK players from launch through UKGC-licensed casinos carrying Pragmatic Play content.
The new title retains the original game’s 6×5 scatter-pays grid and Greek mythology setting. Wins require at least eight matching symbols anywhere on the reels; winning symbols then disappear, allowing replacements to fall and potentially create further wins in the same spin.
Multiplier symbols can land during base-game or bonus tumbles. Values appearing in the same spin are combined and applied to the total win, rather than multiplied together. The 2,500x ceiling is five times the original game’s 500x maximum and underpins the increase in the advertised top win from 5,000x to 25,000x.
Four or more scatters unlock the bonus round, which starts with 15 free spins. A pre-feature wheel selects one of four variants: Free Spins 1, Free Spins 2, and Super versions of each. In the first standard mode, multipliers from winning spins are added to a running total before being applied to that win; in the second, each multiplier builds a progressive total for subsequent wins. The Super modes impose a minimum 10x multiplier.
The default return-to-player rate is 96.52%, although lower 95.50% and 94.50% configurations may be used by some casinos. Stakes range from £0.10 to £240, and the HTML5 game runs in browsers on iOS and Android devices. It also includes golden-symbol mechanics, Ante Bet options and bonus-buy features.
Gates of Olympus 2500 is the latest instalment of a series that began in February 2021. The original, also built around the 6×5 format, won Slot of the Year at the SBC Awards 2021. Sharon McHugh, Pragmatic Play’s director of public relations, described the four bonus modes and expanded multiplier mechanics as a way to provide more variety while preserving the original’s core gameplay.
Pragmatic Play’s next scheduled market release for Gates of Olympus 2500 is Spain, Greece, Italy, Peru and Romania on Oct. 26.
