Gaming Realms Buys Back 100,966 Shares at 29.34p Average Price

Gaming Realms repurchased 100,966 ordinary shares on Oct. 26 under its ongoing buyback programme, paying between 29.00p and 29.60p per share. The volume-weighted average price was 29.34p.

The purchases were made through Peel Hunt LLP, Gaming Realms’ nominated adviser and joint corporate broker. Transaction details reported by Kalkine Media show the company completed 10 AIM trades, ranging from 718 to 13,202 shares each.

Following the repurchase, Gaming Realms held 29,793,522 shares in treasury. It had 266,472,492 ordinary shares in issue excluding treasury shares, which form the voting-rights denominator used by shareholders for notifications under the FCA’s Disclosure Guidance and Transparency Rules.

The company began its buyback programme in March 2025, with authority to spend up to £6 million and purchase as many as 29,477,644 shares under the 2024 Authority. Gaming Realms said at the time that the programme reflected directors’ confidence in its prospects while allowing it to invest for organic growth and return surplus cash to shareholders.

The original programme was due to end by Aug. 31, 2025, or earlier at the conclusion of the company’s May 2025 annual general meeting, unless the authority was renewed. Shares acquired through the programme could be cancelled or retained in treasury for obligations arising from share-option programmes.

Gaming Realms had already bought back 17,345,561 shares for £6 million during the first half of 2026. The shares were held in treasury and recorded as a deduction from equity, while the group reported net cash of £13.5 million at June 30.

The company’s content-licensing revenue rose 12% year on year to £13 million in the first half. It released 11 games and expanded into Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya and Peru, taking its regulated-market total to 32 at the end of June. The first-half results described the buyback as part of a strategy combining investment in new content and international expansion with returns of surplus cash to shareholders.
