Midnite has launched TrueLayer’s Pay by Bank for UK customers, giving players a way to deposit and withdraw directly through their bank accounts. The move adds another payment route on the operator’s platform and is aimed at transactions that can be completed quickly without card details.
According to Midnite, the process is built around mobile use. Customers authenticate through their banking app, with biometrics available where supported, and can confirm payments in real time in a flow designed to take only a few taps.
Midnite, founded in 2018, has built its own mobile-first technology stack across sports betting and iGaming. The company has positioned itself around a modern user experience for a new generation of players, and it has said payments are central to that experience because deposits and withdrawals are the moments where friction is felt most.
Christian Huynh, Midnite’s lead product manager, said players expect money in and out to be instant and secure, and that TrueLayer’s Pay by Bank gives the company the infrastructure to deliver that. Roberto Villani, TrueLayer’s vice-president of iGaming, said the sector is where payments get stress-tested, with players wanting speed and operators wanting certainty on every transaction. Both companies said early performance has been strong.
The integration also leans on TrueLayer’s network, which the company says reaches 27 million users across the UK and Europe. iGamingFuture said the rollout reflects continued adoption of open-banking payments across the UK iGaming sector, as operators increasingly look for alternatives to traditional card payments to streamline deposits and withdrawals.
The broader pattern was already visible earlier this year. In January, Open Banking Expo reported that bet365 had gone live with TrueLayer’s Pay by Bank, making it the recommended payment option in checkout and saying the service was live across its UK and German operations, with expansion into additional markets planned throughout 2026.
