RubyPlay agreed to acquire 100% of Splash Tech, the London-headquartered jackpot and engagement-tool specialist, in a move that would take the supplier beyond game content and into platform-level tools.
The transaction remains subject to regulatory approvals, and financial terms were not disclosed.
According to RubyPlay, the deal would add Splash Tech’s jackpot solutions and free-to-play casino and sports capabilities to its wider engagement suite. RubyPlay said that suite already includes free spins, rewards, missions and tournaments.
The company said the acquisition is designed to give operators in regulated iGaming markets new ways to lift return on investment and revenue, while sharpening player acquisition, engagement, retention, cross-sell and monetisation. RubyPlay also said its existing operator partners would gain access to Splash Tech’s jackpot and free-to-play capabilities once the deal completes.
Splash Tech’s flagship real-money jackpot solution is built to add jackpot prizes to existing casino games, and can also place a jackpot layer on sports bets. The product is intended to work across content from multiple suppliers, rather than being confined to one studio.
Tsachi Maimon, RubyPlay’s chief executive, said the deal moves the company beyond the traditional content silo and towards a premium content and engagement platform model. He described Splash Tech as having a strong reputation for innovation in engagement tools, backed by expertise, data and content.
Adam Wilson, Splash Tech’s chief executive, said becoming a RubyPlay company would give Splash Tech a stronger foundation for growth, with continuity at the heart of the transition. He added that existing partners would continue to receive the same products and support they expect from Splash Tech.
Splash Tech’s products are live with major operators and platform providers in the global iGaming industry, and RubyPlay said it planned future features tailored to Koala Games, Mad Hat Games, xSlots and Firerose. Upon completion, Splash Tech will become a RubyPlay company.
